Small bits of theater, long bits of food and experience with Abby

#Connection
I made this "company", Belong Here Theater, where we run a "workshop" named Callback Club. I made it so I could practice with Friends, and grow together. So people started showing up and we would sing and act together - we gave feedback and it was a lot of fun.

Eventually I wanted workshops - so I started hiring people to run workshops.

All this to say, this week we had two workshops. Both of which I didn't market very well, or messed up the posted times. So only myself and one other person, my close friend Abby, showed up. We played Meisner Games, and we did Neutral Mask - it was something I hadn't done one on one with someone before but it was more magical.

It was something worth doing because it was us growing together. It was something to keep in my heart and mind to hold when things get heavy or hurt.

After the workshop in the morning on Saturday we went straight to Goshapon - it's a Japanese style store where there are a collection of machines that take tokens in exchange for their blind boxes. Filled with niche Japanese characters and popularized content alike.

Abby got her boyfriend a Mazda Goshapon, herself a Tamagotchi one, and another I believe for her best friend / cousin - I can only recall the little bits that come to mind right away which I feel bad about at first thought but that's not fair to myself. I got myself a tamagotchi one as well. It opens up like a locket - I didn't know that until Abby pointed it out - I'm not always the most observant. One day I'll find something to put in it.

One of my favorite Korean fried chicken places, Chi Maek, set up shop in the Asia Village we went to for Goshapon - except it was named Chingu - the logo was identical so I had my suspicions. It was when I ordered, and the box showed Chi Maek rather than Chingu that I realized I was already eating a favorite.

Abby got this Ramyean stuff, it was a place with automatic boiling set up for prepackaged Ramyeon, with a wall of the same. Like Buldak, Jin Ramyean and Shin Ramyeon. My favorite brand has always been Buldak, always being since I discovered it. She got Buldak Swicy - which she later almost purchased but was mindful of her already stocked unperishables.

It makes a difference to do these things with like minded friends. It brought me a lot of peace.
Though I feel tired still, the energy gained from this, and my time with Ben and Taylor in some other piece here in my garden, they held me together this week.
